1. About Us & How We Operate
1.1 Simple Transfers is a trading name of Glasgow 8 Seaters Ltd and arranges pre-booked private hire transport bookings and dispatch services.
1.2 Simple Transfers acts as a booking and dispatch agent. Journeys are supplied by independent, licensed private hire drivers or operators (“Contracted Drivers”).
1.3 Where a journey is supplied by a Contracted Driver, that driver or operator is the transport service provider. Glasgow 8 Seaters Ltd, trading as Simple Transfers, acts solely as agent arranging the booking.
1.4 By booking through the website, WhatsApp, email, phone or any other method, you confirm that you understand and accept this arrangement.
2. Bookings & Confirmations
2.1 A booking is only confirmed once accepted in writing by Simple Transfers. Written confirmation includes website booking confirmation, WhatsApp, email or SMS.
2.2 You are responsible for checking all booking details, including pick-up and drop-off locations, date and time, passenger numbers, luggage details and flight number for arrivals where applicable.
2.3 We are not responsible for delays, cancellations or issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
3. Pricing, Payments & Deposits
3.1 Prices are agreed and confirmed before travel based on the booking details supplied.
3.2 A non-refundable booking fee or deposit may be required to secure a booking.
3.3 The remaining balance must be paid as agreed, either before or at the time of travel.
3.4 Unless confirmed in writing, prices do not include meet & greet services, waiting beyond the agreed free allowance, tolls, parking charges or airport access fees.
3.5 Simple Transfers is operated by Glasgow 8 Seaters Ltd. Payments are collected by or on behalf of Glasgow 8 Seaters Ltd, and Glasgow 8 Seaters Ltd may appear on your bank or card statement rather than Simple Transfers.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Private Customers
4.1 Booking fees or deposits are non-refundable.
4.2 Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking time may receive a partial refund at our discretion, after deducting any non-refundable deposit or unrecoverable costs.
4.3 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking time are non-refundable.
Company / Corporate Bookings
4.4 Cancellations made within 48 hours of travel are non-refundable.
4.5 No-shows are charged in full.
5. Waiting Time & No-Shows
5.1 The first 10 minutes of waiting are free unless otherwise agreed.
5.2 Waiting beyond this period may be charged at the rate confirmed by the Contracted Driver or operator.
5.3 If no contact is made within 30 minutes of the agreed pick-up time, the driver may leave and the booking will be treated as completed, with no refund due.
6. Flights, Delays & Missed Connections
6.1 We are not responsible for missed flights, connections or onward travel, including where caused by traffic, accidents, roadworks, weather or vehicle issues.
6.2 Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time and are strongly advised to hold adequate travel insurance.
6.3 Flight tracking is provided for airport arrivals only where flight details have been supplied. It does not apply to airport drop-offs.
7. Vehicles, Passengers & Luggage
7.1 Vehicles are allocated based on the passenger and luggage details supplied at booking.
7.2 All luggage must fit safely within designated storage areas and may not be placed on seats or in footwells.
7.3 If luggage exceeds capacity, an additional vehicle may be required subject to availability, or the booking may be cancelled with no refund.
7.4 Oversized or special items, including buggies, golf clubs and large boxes, must be declared when booking.
8. Vehicle Substitution & Route Selection
8.1 Where necessary, we may arrange a similar or upgraded vehicle at no extra charge.
8.2 The driver selects the most appropriate route on the day taking account of traffic and safety. Customer route requests remain subject to driver approval.
9. Breakdowns & Service Disruptions
9.1 If a breakdown or unforeseen issue occurs, reasonable efforts will be made to arrange a replacement vehicle.
9.2 If no replacement can be arranged, liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected journey.
9.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
10. Passenger Conduct
10.1 Abusive, aggressive, dangerous or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of the journey with no refund.
10.2 Contracted Drivers reserve the right to refuse or end a journey where safety is compromised.
11. Liability
11.1 Glasgow 8 Seaters Ltd, trading as Simple Transfers, is not liable for indirect or consequential losses including missed flights, accommodation costs or loss of earnings.
11.2 As we act as booking and dispatch agent, responsibility for the transport service rests with the Contracted Driver or operator providing the journey.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Corporate, trade and third-party bookings are additionally governed by our Corporate & Trade Booking Addendum where applicable.
