Simple Transfers is a pre-booked private hire booking and dispatch service. We act as an agent arranging journeys with suitable independent, licensed private hire drivers or operators. Our pricing reflects the planning and vehicle commitment involved in a pre-booked service, not simply the distance travelled with a passenger on board.
We’re Not a Taxi Rank
We’re not parked around the corner waiting for someone to jump in. A Contracted Driver may travel from home or another job to reach your pick-up, sometimes 20–30 minutes away. After drop-off they may also travel empty, particularly on one-way airport journeys. Time is reserved in advance specifically for your booking.
That additional time and mileage has to be factored into the price to keep a pre-booked service reliable and sustainable. That’s what the minimum fare helps cover.
Built for Airport, Family & Group Travel
If you need a very short local journey, a local taxi service or app may be more suitable. Simple Transfers is designed around airport transfers, family and group travel, events, longer-distance journeys and other planned journeys.

Not All Larger Vehicles Are Equal
A vehicle may technically have enough passenger seats but not enough luggage capacity when every seat is occupied. Tell us what you’re bringing and the booking can be matched to an appropriate vehicle category. Oversized items such as buggies, golf clubs and large boxes should always be declared.
Clear Pricing Agreed in Advance
Your price is based on the journey and booking details supplied and is confirmed in advance. Any additional charges that may apply, such as airport access, parking, meet & greet or additional waiting, are dealt with in accordance with your booking confirmation and our Terms & Conditions.
